Sign-in is GitHub only, and it is free. Past stage 2, a challenge's instructions need a pass just as its test runs do — and the help around a stage (hints, guided prompts, the worked solution, the discussion) needs one from stage 1.

Questions people actually ask
- What happens when my pass expires?
- You drop back to the free tier. Your account, enrollments, and passed stages all stay exactly as they are — the later stages simply close again, to read as well as to run, until you buy another pass. Nothing is deleted, and you can pick up where you left off whenever you come back.
- Will you charge me again automatically?
- No. A pass is a single payment for a fixed number of months. There is no subscription to cancel, no stored card, and no renewal notice — when the term ends, it ends.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, in full within 14 days of buying, as long as you've run fewer than 20 test jobs. Email [email protected] and we'll send the money back. The refund policy spells out the details.
- Can I use it on more than one machine?
- Yes. A pass belongs to your account, not to a device, and there is nothing to install anyway — sign in from any browser and your projects are there.
- What can I do without paying?
- Make a free account and you can work the opening stages of every challenge properly — read them, enrol, download the starter code, run the tests, and browse the code you passed. It is the same product, not a preview: the tests are the real ones. What a pass unlocks is everything past those opening stages, in every challenge on the catalogue.
- Can I read the stages without an account?
- No. The catalog lists every challenge with its summary, topics and stage titles, and that needs no account — but the stage instructions themselves are behind a sign-in. It is free and it is GitHub only, so it costs you a click rather than a form.
